Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of https://gonorthsystems.com(the “Site”), the GoNorth web app, the GoNorth mobile app, and the websites and tools GoNorth provides (together, the “Services”). The Services are operated by L&J LLC (doing business as Go North Systems and GoNorth), based in Livonia, Michigan, United States (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the Services, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you use the Services for a business, you agree on behalf of that business and confirm you have authority to do so.

Our Services

GoNorth gives local service businesses a website, a lead inbox, and tools to answer and follow up with customers, such as a website chat assistant, a business phone number, call recording and transcription, an AI voice assistant, texting, WhatsApp, email, quotes, invoices, payments, booking and review requests. Which features you get depends on your plan and, for some features, on approval by carriers, Meta or other providers.

Go North Systems custom work (custom AI systems built for a business) is governed by a separate written proposal and agreement. Nothing on the Site is a binding offer, quote, or guarantee of specific results.

Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old and give accurate information when you sign up. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything done under your account, including by team members you add. Tell us right away at hello@gonorthsystems.com if you think your account has been used without permission.

Plans, Billing and Cancellation

• GoNorth has a Free plan, Pro at US$29 per month (or US$290 per year), and Autopilot at US$79 per month (or US$790 per year), plus optional add-ons and credit packs. Each plan includes the usage allowances shown when you choose it. Prices are in U.S. dollars and do not include taxes, which are added where required.
• Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) and are charged to your payment method until you cancel. If your plan starts with a free trial, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• You can cancel at any time in the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep paid features until then. Payments already made are not refunded, except where the law requires or we decide otherwise.
• Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are billed, renewed, canceled and refunded by that store under its own terms. Manage those subscriptions in your store account.
• We may change prices or plan features. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price increase takes effect for your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
• If a payment fails, we may limit paid features until it is fixed. On the Free plan, we may limit usage to keep the service running for everyone.

Your Content and Your Customers

You own the content you add (your business details, photos, text and your customers' information). You give us permission to host, copy, display and process it only as needed to provide and improve the Services for you, for example to publish your website and deliver your messages. You confirm you have the right to use what you upload, including photos and logos.

For your customers' information, you decide how it is used and we process it for you as described in our Privacy Policy. Your GoNorth website carries a privacy policy and terms for your business, which we provide as a template; you are responsible for making sure they are accurate for how you run your business.

Messaging and Calling Your Customers

When you use GoNorth to call, text, WhatsApp or email your customers, you are the sender and you are responsible for following the laws and rules that apply, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, state call-recording and telemarketing laws, carrier rules, and Meta's WhatsApp Business policies, and the data protection and consumer laws of your country. In particular, you agree to:

• Text customers only with their consent (such as the optional text box on your website) or after they text you first, and honor STOP and other opt-out requests right away
• Send marketing messages only to customers who agreed to receive them
• Keep call recording announcements on where the law requires the other person's consent, or turn recording off
• Give accurate business information for phone number registration and carrier verification
• Not use GoNorth to send spam, cold outreach to purchased lists, or messages about prohibited content

GoNorth includes safeguards such as consent records, opt-out handling and quiet hours, but they do not replace your own compliance. We may pause messaging or calling on an account that receives complaints, high opt-out rates, or carrier warnings.

AI Features

GoNorth uses AI to answer website chats and calls, summarize calls, draft messages and quotes, and suggest next steps. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. It is not professional advice, and you are responsible for reviewing what is sent in your business's name and for the prices, promises and appointments you confirm. AI assistants answer from the information you give GoNorth, so keep your business details, prices and hours current. The chat assistant on our own Site is for general information only and does not create any commitment on our part.

Payments You Collect

If you connect Stripe or Square to collect payments from your customers, those payments are processed by that provider under its own agreement with you. We are not a party to those payments and are not responsible for chargebacks, refunds, fees or disputes between you and your customers.

Acceptable Use

• Do not use the Services in any way that violates applicable law or someone else's rights
• Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Services
• Do not submit false, misleading, or abusive content through our forms, chat or messaging
• Do not impersonate another business or person, or publish a website for a business you do not own or represent
• Do not resell the Services without our written permission

Text Messages (SMS)

GoNorth texts you only if you tick the optional box to get texts on our signup form, or if you text us first. Those texts are about your signup: when your spot opens and help getting set up. Agreeing to texts is not required to use the Site.

• Message frequency varies.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any text to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or email hello@gonorthsystems.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Businesses that use GoNorth text their own customers from their own number, under their own website's Privacy Policy and Terms, and only with that customer's consent or after the customer texts them first.

We do not share or sell your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent won't be shared with any third parties.

Third-Party Services

The Services work with other companies' services, such as Google, Meta (WhatsApp), Twilio, Stripe, Square, Apple and Google Play. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them. Features that depend on them can change or stop if they change their rules.

Intellectual Property

The Services, including their software, design, and branding, belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without our written permission. Ownership of work product created for custom-work clients is defined in each client agreement. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.

Ending Your Use

You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time (see How to Delete Your Data). We may suspend or end your account if you break these terms, do not pay, or use the Services in a way that could harm others or our ability to provide them, and we may discontinue a feature or the Services with reasonable notice. When an account ends, your website goes offline and your data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as disclaimers, limits of liability and indemnity, continue to apply.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, that every call, message or email will be delivered, or that you will get any particular number of leads, reviews or customers.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Go North Systems is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability related to the Services will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars ($100). Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, fines, and costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that come from your content, the messages and calls you send through the Services, your dealings with your customers, or your breaking these terms or the law.

Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Before filing a claim, please email us at hello@gonorthsystems.com so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved that way will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Michigan, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. This does not take away consumer rights that the laws of your country give you and that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the current version will always be posted here with its date. If a change materially affects your rights, we will tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the new terms.

General

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order or plan you choose, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part of these terms is not a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a merger or sale of our business.
